SoulCycle Class Raises Funds for Food Allergies

City of residence: Long Island, NY

How Ali, Hannah, Alexa, and Jordyn Pushed their Passion: Four teenagers, all living with food allergies, decided to take one of their favorite hobbies and turn it into a fund- and awareness-raiser. The girls are active riders at Soul Cycle, an indoor cycling class with many enthusiastic clients. They thought that organizing a charity ride, with all proceeds benefiting FARE, would be a great way to kick off the launch of the girls’ organization, Safe Lips.

This organization is a vehicle for the girls to raise awareness and funds for FARE in their community, form a school club to involve their peers, and help educate about food allergies online.

Even though this inaugural event took a lot of hard work, including setting up raffle prizes, printing t-shirts, and promoting the event, in the end the girls and their parents couldn’t have been prouder of what they accomplished. The group sold out the charity class, filling all 57 bikes in the room. And, along with their supporters at Soul Cycle, they raised a total of $15,933 for FARE!

These bright young ladies have already made a difference, and we’re sure they will continue to achieve their goals!
