53 Local Food Allergy Projects Funded by FARE

FARE is proud to continue its support of community-based education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives through the 2016 Community Outreach Award program. This year, FARE awarded more than $145,000 to support 53 projects in 24 states.

Support group leaders and FARE Walk for Food Allergy volunteer chairs are carrying out projects which serve to educate others about food allergy as a growing public health issue. They also provide programs that directly support individuals in their community who are living with a food allergy diagnosis. This year, a number of projects will also be completed in partnership with FARE Clinical Network Centers of Excellence.

FARE reviews project proposals on an annual basis, awarding funding and in-kind support based on community need, anticipated impact and scope, as well as cost efficiency and geographic diversity.
